My name is Randy Russell, and this is my third year teaching Anuban 3 at Dara Academy.  I used to be a Prathom teacher, but I love being in Anuban, and I couldn't be more excited!  Dara Academy is a wonderful place to teach, and I’m excited to meet my young students and build a fun, exploratory learning environment with them!

Before moving to Chiang Mai eight years ago, I was a banker. I had a good job at a company I liked, and I was able to do things that made me feel good.  Things like helping museums, schools, natural foods co-ops and even radio stations!  I also had the opportunity to live in exciting places like Chicago, Washington DC, and California.  But eventually, I decided to change my career and do something different.  Being a teacher was something I’d always wondered about.  So I tried it, and I love it!

My teaching style is friendly, positive and funny.  I want the students to have fun in my class, and I encourage them to try new things.  My goal is for my students to love school and enjoy the activities that we do, while building up their confidence and their English skills.
