Hello Everyone! My name is Christina Canavan and this is my first year teaching at Dara as a Prathom 4 teacher. I am so excited about joining this school and beginning this journey in Chiang Mai!

I graduated from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I also spent two semesters studying in Australia. For the past couple of years I have been teaching students who have special needs in the United States. It has been such a rewarding experience to be a part of a school community. This is my second time in Southeast Asia and first time in Thailand and I am already in love with it.

I have learned so much from working with my students and colleagues over the last couple of years and cannot wait to learn from the people here at Dara! I have only been here for a short time and have already realized that I am surrounded by wonderful coworkers and children. I look forward to creating an engaging, interactive, and positive environment for my students to learn and develop!
