Hello! My name is Harriet Booth and I’m from England. I started working at Dara Academy 2014 and have really enjoyed my time here. I am very excited to say that I will be teaching Prathom 6 again this year. Prathom 6 is definitely my favourite age group. In the classroom I aim to promote a positive atmosphere in which my students can develop their confidence in the English language through using lots of speaking activities. I cannot wait to meet all my new students this year and, of course, to see the faces that I already know.
I grew up in a large city in the South West of England called Bristol. My parents have both travelled extensively (in fact my Dad grew up in Thailand for a while) and their stories made me want to see the world from a young age. After graduating from the University of Liverpool, I moved to Kanchanburi and worked at a rural school there. During this time, I visited Chiang Mai and just fell in love with the city.
I really love working at Dara Academy, the students and staff are truly fantastic. I am looking forward to another brilliant year.
